Cork is the second largest city in Ireland, 2.5 hours from Dublin. Built on the River Lee, which forks into two channels, creating an island on which the center of the city rises. It is known for being a vibrant city, with museums and shops offering students an intense cultural option ideal for learning English in Ireland.
This English course in Ireland takes place on the campus of University College Cork, which has 44 acres of land and just 5 minutes from the center of Cork, somewhat away from the bustle and in a very safe area.
AGE
This course to go to study English in Ireland is aimed at children and young people from 12 to 17 years old.
COURSE
In the classrooms there are a maximum of 15 students with multicultural groups. The teachers put special interest in improving communication techniques, activating the students' already existing knowledge and giving them confidence. During the course, students create a personal folder and an online diary where they keep their work.
Students can make progress each week and the more weeks they stay the more they will improve their English.
Students do 15 hours of English a week, English lessons are 5 hours a week divided between mornings and afternoons. The course also includes two full-day excursions per week, one half-day excursion and a full program of sports, cultural visits and activities.
Focus: In addition to the 15 hours of English classes, students may choose to take an additional 5 hours of English classes, instead of doing 2 activities, at no additional cost.
It is recommended that students bring a small dictionary and their own study material.
