The course takes place on the Capilano University campus in North Vancouver; an urban location with modern facilities in harmony with its stunning natural surroundings. Inspired by the beauty of the land and Vancouver's reputation as a global city, this programme offers students the opportunity to discover the city and the country.

This summer course is aimed at children and young people between 14 and 17 years old.

 

COURSE

 


On the first day of class all students will take a placement test to assess their level and to help them to allocate their classes correctly.

The classes (15 hours per week) are designed to improve communicative skills in English and at the same time help the students to
better understand the role of English as a world language and their relationship to it, and help students gain confidence in their interactions in English. Classrooms are divided into groups of a maximum of 15 students.

In addition to the 15 hours per week of group work, there will be 5 hours per week of "Preparing for the Future" workshops, which are considered essential for success in today's changing world of work, working on the following aspects:
